Purpose and Value of Academic Research

Question: Discuss about thePurpose and Value of Academic Research. Answer: Any research is undertaken with the ulterior motive of discovering a new fact that can enlighten the people about the specific issue in future. It is undeniable that any private organization works with the motive of maximizing its profit, and hence the proper management of human capital is absolutely integral to the success of any organization. Keeping into consideration the importance of human capital, it can be understood that Human Resource Management plays an important role for the organizational success, and the specific research intend to evaluate the relation between HR management and organizational commitment (Ã…Å ¾endoÄÅ ¸du, Kocabacak and Gven 2013). In order to discover and critically evaluate the relation between the HR management and organizational commitment, two different research methods have been employed- the Qualitative as well as the Quantitative method. While the Qualitative method has been used in order to gain an in-depth study of the topic at hand, the Quantitative method has been adopted for conducting a survey to statistically measure the general response of the managers of the organizations. Conducting a survey is an effective means of assessing the validity of the research problem (Smith 2015). Hence, although in the particular research, the survey is conducted only on the managers of various organizations, the survey should also have been focused on the employees. It should be remembered that Ontology is a study of being, and in order to acquire an understanding of the inherent relation existing between HR management and organizational commitment, the Qualitative research method is needed. It is only through gr oup discussions, interactive sessions, and in-depth study of the literary articles and journals, it is possible to understand the underlying social phenomenon that can explain the relation that exists between HR practices and organizational commitment. The employees of the chosen organizations should have been asked regarding the extent to which the HRM practices of their respective organizations have influenced their level of commitment, diligence and devotion towards the organization. In the present research, several significant research questions were being asked which are directly related to the research aim. The aim of the research is to discover the inherent relation existing between the HR practices of various sectors of organizations, and the increase in the commitment level of the employees. Keeping in consideration, the objectives of the research, the questions asked in the survey were being used to understand if there is any positive and direct relation between team activities, interaction facilities or increment in salary benefits offered by the HR, and the rise in the level of professional dedication among the employees. The literature review has helped to gather relevant information from important literary sources while the survey has been employed to test the hypothesis in accordance with the current situation in the organizations. In this way, the Positivist research philosophy is being used, which shows a scientific and objective method of analyzing the research problem (Nuttin 2014). However, in order to explain and understand the underlying reason behind the relation between effective HR practice and increase in the employee commitment, the Interpretivst philosophy could be adopted as well. The change in attitudes and beliefs of the employees with a changing HR practice could be understood by conducting personal, interactive sessions of interview with the a few employees of the chose organization (Saunders and Lewis 2015). The particular research has been conducted on various industries located in Konya, Turkey and thus as a result of having examined the research problem in the light of multiple organizations, it has been established as a fact that effective HR practices will always lead to increasing employee dedication. Starting with offering training to the necessary employees, enhancing their professional skills, HR plays an important role in motivating the employees, thereby increasing their productivity. This research throws much light on the importance of having an effective HR management team if an organization aims to ensure organizational success. The inspector play Essay Example For Students

The inspector play Essay Mr Birling was the up bringer of Evas Smiths untimely death. Eva smith worked for Mr Birling in his factory. When Eva Smith came to Mr Birling asking for a pay rise of a few shillings (226 to 25 shillings), he refused this as he wanted to keep labour costs down, after being deprived of a few shillings; she was then called a trouble maker and was fired just because of asking a few shillings more so she could live. Sheila was the second person to be blamed of Evas unfortunate death, just when Eva got a job at milwards after a while of unemployment, she had got fired due to jealousy and power, this was because Sheila thought that the hat her mother picked out for her to try on, looked better on Eva when she tried it on than on Sheila. This made Sheila furious, so she said Id never go near this place again if they didnt get rid of the girl. She new she had the power to get her fired so inevitably Eva got fired, but in the end she resented it and wished she could take it back. We will write a custom essay on The inspector play specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Mr Croft was the third person to hurt Eva Smith or Daisy Renton as he knew her. They first met in bar, Gerald saw her from a far where she stood out from everyone else she had soft brown big grey eyes and was extremely pretty, he went and talked to here and invited her back to a hotel, were they chatted a bit and had few drinks. Mr croft managed to get a bit out her and her life, she explains about her parents death and also unfortunate job less. She was very ambiguous and she didnt want to show that she was a little skint on money and was very hungry at the time. They met again a couple of days later and Gerald set her up with a flat, so she then became his mistress even though he had a girlfriend, Sheila which he kept secret from Daisy, but after a while he turned out Eva Smith back onto the streets with a little bit of money, she moved to the beach for a while to set her mind straight and go away from the grief and everything. Mr Croft undeniably chose society over Eva Smith. Mrs Birling was the fourth person and maybe the harshest to be blamed for the death of Eva Smith, as she was a charity group worker. Eva came to Mrs Birling pregnant and in need of great help she called herself Mrs Birling which made Sheila really angry and prejudiced and so never gave her any help just more grief, she alluded to her as very a girl of that sort. As Sybil belongs to an honourable charity group who were supposed to help people. However she uses this power to prevent the people she viewed unworthy and undesirable, help; for example Eva Smith, but when she finds out that the father of Evas child is her own son, she tried to protect him in everyway possible where as firstly she told Eva that he should be publically embarrassed she even thought that she was only doing this for money, she even could not see that her own son let alone needy people of the streets with no money and nothing to eat or wear needed help from his addiction on alcohol. And by this she never made it easier for her son Eric to explain his actions in Eva Smiths death and Eva doing the most she could was neglected. Eric plays the final part and the person to be blamed in Evas death. Eric Birling overpowered Eva while he was drunk one night, which carried on for quite a long time. This got Eva Smith pregnant when she told him that she was expecting a child to be born, he thought he could help her by giving her money, but when she found out that this was stolen money she refused him. .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .postImageUrl , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:hover , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:visited , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:active { border:0!important; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:active , .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u1632542058993b391d44afbcb5ab9dda:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Research Investigation: commedia dell'arte masks EssayHe thought that getting married could solve this problem but she knew he never really loved her so she couldnt get married with Eric. Just like his father he used his power to get what he wanted where as his father used mark of consent over her, hes contrite about the fact that all his family and family to be was involved in this really unfortunate suicide from Eva. Inspector Goole is a strange eerie person who brings out the truth from everybody. The word Goole can mean ghost, he makes Sheila and Eric see what they have done wrong but Mr and Mrs Birling tried to carry on as if nothing happened, as if the whole situation of showing them what they have done was just a bad nightmare. Hes supposed to represent Priestleys thoughts and ideas of the difference of the social inequalities. In my conclusion of this essay shows that even though inspector Goole had certain indifferences and a sort of unnatural sense to him, he managed to take the truth out at all of them, and making them feel guilty even though it might have been untrue with all the photos and evidence which he used to make them feel even more guilty and spite, which also made them confess everything, Sheila was the only person to feel sorry for what she had done but her parents just wanted to carry on with there normal lives as nothing had happened.
